

In 1986, Sullivan joined San Diego Tribune where he worked as a full-time investigative reporter. In 1983 to 1984, Sullivan worked at Reuters as a financial correspondent but later left to become a political reporter based in Washington D.C. He returned to the US in 1982 and joined Northwestern University, Medill School of Journalism. After graduation, Sullivan served in the Peace Corps where he taught children of Tuareg in the Sahara Desert.

He was born and spent his childhood in Medfield Massachusetts in Boston, earned a B.Arts degree in English from Hamilton College. Sullivan is American author of suspense and mystery novels famously known for his books such as Rogue, The Purification Ceremony, and Triple Cross.
